In 2018, $10,000 was donated to MS Research Australia by professional services firm Mogg Osborne via the Count Charitable Foundation, to contribute to funding investigator led research projects in Australia. Bree Carmichael, Client Service Officer at Mogg Osborne, said ‘the firm strongly promotes philanthropy with community involvement. It’s a cause close to our hearts, as a member with MS is part of our team’.
Mogg Osborne Pty Ltd is a CPA Accounting Practice in Cobram, Vic and Finley, NSW who provide financial planning advice as a licencee of Count Financial Ltd. The Count Charitable Foundation was established in 2004 by Count Financial founder, Barry Lambert and his wife Joy, to support firms in the Count Financial network and their staff in their philanthropic endeavours. Firms can approach the Count Charitable Foundation to grant donations on their behalf to charities that make a positive contribution to people in their local communities. Since its inception, the Foundation has donated over $8m to charities in Australia and overseas.
A staff member at Mogg Osborne is living with MS, which motivated a team member of the firm to seek out which charitable organisation was specifically focused on funding research for MS. MS Research Australia met the criteria for funding from the Count Charitable Foundation and Mogg Osborne selected us to receive financial support as part of their yearly contribution to community.
MS Research Australia is very grateful for Mogg Osborne for putting us forward for funding.
