2020 Australia Day Honours

28 January, 2020

Congratulations to the Australians recognised in the Australia Day Honours 2020.

We would particularly like to recognise the following individuals who have made significant contributions to the MS research community in either a philanthropic, business or medical research capacity.

Lisa Chung
Received recognition for significant service to the community through charitable and cultural organisations. Lisa is a valued member of the MS Angels, a group of female business leaders who raise vital funds for MS research as well as advocate for increased corporate philanthropy and gender equality in the workplace.

The Hon. Barry Robert O’Farrell
Received recognition for distinguished service to the people and Parliament of New South Wales, particularly as Premier, and to the community. Barry is a patron of the Trish MS Research Foundation and participated in the Mudgee2Sydney fundraising walk – organised by MS Research Australia board member Mike Hemingway and his wife Katrina – to raise funds for MS Research Australia.

Congratulations again on these well-deserved acknowledgements.
