The research involves completing surveys online or as paper-based questionnaires. When you join the study you will need to complete a baseline ‘demographic’ survey and then each year you will be invited to complete a number of surveys. You do not need to complete every survey, but as this is a longitudinal study, the more information you can contribute the stronger the study becomes.
For each AMSLS participant, we would like to know whether they would like to link their study data with other external data. Data linkage is a way of connecting information held by different groups or services in a way that protects a person’s privacy. In order to make a decision, carefully read the AMSLS Data Linkage Information Sheet. It will explain what data linkage is, how it works and its benefits.
